Often found over mountain ranges, the "saucer clouds" are the result of certain mountain meteorologic phenomena. These formations are said to be the source of some UFO reports, despite the fact that they don't move very fast and dissipate rather quickly. We saw lenticular clouds many times during our stay in Patagonia.
