Perito Moreno Glacier
A view from the water on the western side of Lago Argentino, looking southwest from close by the shoreline of the Peninsula of Magellan in the Glacier National Park of Argentina. We arrived at this south arm of the Moreno glacier named after the 19th century explorer Franscisco Moreo at about 11:00 A.M. The only one of three Patagonian glaciers that is growing, Perito Moreno is 3 miles wide and 240 feet high where it empties into the sea.
