Upsala Glacier, Lago Argentino
In Argentina, approaching the Upsala glacier in the far northeastern reaches of Lake Argentino, in the Glacier National Park. The name comes from an old spelling of Uppsala University, Sweden, which sponsored the first investigation of glaciers in Patagonia.br/ In this view, the glacier really looks like a river which has frozen just as it spills into the lake. The ice wall in the center is about three kilometers wide and about the height of a 60 story skyscraper.
