Torres del Paine National Park close up
Torres del Paine refers to three enormous granite towers (see small black arrows) in the Torres del Paine massif, considered part of the Andes, but nevertheless geologically distinct. The Torres del Paine National Park surrounds the peaks. Around the park spread the foothills of the Andes range and glaciers that hold one third of the Earth's fresh water.
